Trust is at the heart of the work we do together. This page explains, in plain terms, what data I collect, why, how long I keep it, and what your rights are.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
Paulette Matkovic, Somatic Experiencing practitioner
Rue Dieudonné Lefèvre 4, 1020 Brussels, Belgium
Company number: BE 0562.864.274
Contact: info@paulettematkovic.com
2. What data, why, and on what basis?
Contact form and emails
Your name, email address, phone number and message, so that I can reply. Basis: steps taken at your request before any work together, and my legitimate interest in answering messages. To protect it from spam, the form uses Google reCAPTCHA, which analyses some technical data about your visit (IP address, behaviour on the page). See the Google privacy policy.
Booking
Appointments are booked through Doctoranytime, which processes your booking data under its own responsibility. See the Doctoranytime privacy policy.
Online sessions
Online sessions take place on Zoom (Zoom Communications, Inc.). They are never recorded. Each session has a unique link, protected by a passcode and a waiting room. See the Zoom privacy statement.
Invoicing
Your name, email address, country and the amounts invoiced, to issue invoices and meet my accounting obligations. Basis: performance of our agreement and my legal obligations. Tool used: Accountable.
Website statistics
Only with your consent (cookie banner), the website uses Google Analytics to measure its audience: pages viewed, country, device type, how visitors arrive. This data is aggregated and is not used to identify you.
3. How long is your data kept?
- Messages and emails that lead to no appointment: 12 months after the last exchange.
- Invoices and accounting records: the statutory accounting period in force in Belgium.
- Google Analytics statistics: 14 months at most.
4. Who can access your data?
Only me, and the technical providers my practice relies on, each for its own purpose: Hostinger (website hosting), Doctoranytime (booking), Zoom (online sessions), Accountable (invoicing), Google (statistics with your consent, and spam protection for the contact form). I never sell or share your data for commercial purposes.
Some of these providers (Google, Zoom) are based in the United States. Transfers take place under the safeguards provided by the GDPR, including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
5. Cookies
The website uses technical cookies needed for it to work and stay secure; these do not require consent. Statistics cookies (Google Analytics) are only activated with your consent, which you can withdraw at any time via the "Manage cookies" link at the bottom of each page. The full list of cookies (category, purpose, duration) is available in the website's cookie policy.
6. Security
Access to the website, the booking calendar and my work tools is protected by unique passwords and two-factor authentication. Online sessions are never recorded.
7. Your rights
You may at any time ask to access, correct or erase your data, restrict or object to its processing, receive it in a portable format, or withdraw your consent. Write to info@paulettematkovic.com; I reply within one month.
If you believe your rights have not been respected, you may lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, rue de la Presse 35, 1000 Brussels, www.dataprotectionauthority.be.
