Who am I?

Paulette Matkovic

After training as a sociologist interested in non-verbal communication, and a stint in contemporary dance, my path towards a therapeutic body approach became obvious.

I have always been passionate about the link between our body posture and its tensions and the way we come into relation with others and the world. I am fascinated by the intelligence of the body and its extraordinary power of self-healing.

I am trained in Somatic Experiencing and currently training in NARM.

I am also an assistant to international Somatic Experiencing trainings and can give certified sessions to students.

I am trained in yogatherapy by Dr. N. Chandrasekaran (student of Desikashar The Viniyoga Healing and Research Center)

(550 hours + 120 hours of practice in Chennai - India). I am certified by the IAYT (International Association of Yogatherapy) and a member of the ABEPY.

In addition to this, I have other trainings:

- Yoga for people at risk of chronic diseases with Yoga in Healthcare Alliance UK, training certified by the Personalised Care Insitute.

- Restore your Prana, Robin Rothenberg

- Buteyko Method

- Yoga Therapy for Anxiety with Gary Kraftsow (American Viniyoga Institute)

- Further training in Yogatherapy with Dr Chandrasekaran: seminars Prana & Bandha , Prana, Nadis et Chakras

- Yoga teacher training (4 years - 540 hours) in Viniyoga (Krishnamasharya tradition). This training is recognised by the ADEPS.

- 2years training in Shiatsu Iokai, finding it interesting to combine Yoga Therapy with a stretching approach to the meridians in the postures.

What I currently do:

I collaborate with the association Yoga in Healthcare for the groups YES,

for people at risk of chronic diseases

I offer individual consultations at Be-Here and training for yoga teachers
